The boring stuff: I grew up in Tipton and graduated from Tipton HS. I went to Upper Iowa University in Fayette for undergrad, where I double-majored in Exercise Studies (yay sports!) and Human Services because of my prior experience working with individuals with disabilities. I then went on to Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids and graduated with my MBA.

The kinda cool stuff: With minimal clue what I wanted to do with my life, a recently obtained MBA, and no one who wanted to hire me in Iowa, Jordan (after four months of knowing each other lol) and I took a leap of faith after I secured a job in talent acquisition and moved out to Denver, Colorado in a blizzard to live with my officiant and best friend, Brad. (If you ever need an officiant hint hint.) Although Denver was nothing but amazing throughout the two and a half-ish years, filled with lots of volleyball, hiking, dirt roads, and edm music, Iowa is ultimately home. So Jordan and I made the move back at the beginning of 2022 when we bought our house in Marion.

The really cool stuff: Once we moved back, my friend, Bridget, got married and I volunteered to take her wedding photos. This was huge for me, as it really sparked something that wasn't quite there before. I started dreaming big. Ever since, I've been working towards bettering myself as a photographer and making this goal into a business. It's almost a year later as I type this, and I still hope to learn something new every session.

I am so humbled and thankful for everyone who has believed in me, and I appreciate everyone's continued support.
